Your Account Menu, Explained

A calm walkthrough of the Serene Workspace account menu—Focus history, Appearance, tours, shortcuts, feedback, and sign out—without cluttering the desk.

The desk stays quiet on purpose. Environments, widgets, and Today’s Focus live in the open; everything else tucks into a small menu behind your account icon in the top-right. This is that menu—what each row does, and when you might open it.

Open the person icon in the top-right pill. The menu is a quiet side door—not a second dashboard.

Who you’re signed in as

Your email sits at the top so you always know which desk you’re on. Layouts, tasks, and focus history sync to this account. Guests can still use the full workspace on one device; signing in is what lets the quiet ledger travel with you.

Focus history

This opens your Focus Dashboard—Overview, Activity, and Insights. Sessions, streaks, and the year heatmap live here so the wallpaper never becomes a scoreboard. On the desk you may also see a soft glance chip (“… today · …-day streak”); tapping that opens the same place. Use Focus history when you want the full story, not while a timer is asking for your attention.

Appearance

Theme and preference controls for how Serene feels on your machine—light, dark, or system. Wallpaper brightness still drives the glass contrast of tools on the desk; Appearance is for the app chrome around them. Change it once, then forget it.

Replay introduction

Replays the cinematic introduction—the short film that shows why the desk exists. Useful when you want the mood again, or when you’re showing Serene to someone new. It does not erase your tasks or workspaces.

Workspace tour

A guided walk across the living pieces: Today’s Focus, the tool rail, environments, workspaces. Take it when the desk feels unfamiliar after an update, or when you skipped the first tour and want landmarks without hunting.

Keyboard shortcuts

Opens the shortcuts sheet—tools, workspaces, and the focus timer on the keys. Stay in flow without reaching for the mouse. Press

Feedback

Send an idea or a question while it’s fresh. Soft requests welcome—what would make the desk kinder, clearer, or quieter. Private notes stay here so Serene can grow without stuffing every request into a public thread. For the next wallpaper or song, use

Leave a review

Takes you to Product Hunt when you want to leave a public note. Optional soft accountability for the product—not for your focus streak. Only go when a review feels true.

Bug report

Something broken, stuck, or oddly loud? Bug report opens a focused form so we can fix it. A short “what you expected / what happened” is enough. Screenshots help; perfection is not required.

Help

This guide. Prefer the broader tour of the desk—timer, tasks, stickies, and sound—then continue to Welcome afterward. Prefer reading over another modal? You’re in the right place.

Social links

Small icons for X (Twitter) and Product Hunt sit under the list. Follow along for updates, or drop into the launch conversation. They are not notifications inside the desk—they leave Serene only when you choose.

Sign out

Ends the signed-in session on this browser. Your synced history stays with the account; the local guest desk remains available if you return without signing in. Sign out when you share a machine or want a clean slate for the next person.
